And so, we finally performed Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett in Butoh style. Being a typical Asian, I asked someone from our class to record it down for us. Thanks Renee!

So, here’s the end product…Don’t be too taken aback with what you see. I know that for those who know me well, they don’t see me doing such stuff. But hey, I want to try out new stuff! Hope you’ll enjoy the performance = )

God’s being really kind to us once again. The weather in Noosa was perfect for sun-basking, taking a stroll in the national park and most importantly, cam-whoring! Ahem, photo-taking heh!

Pictures are up on Facebook. And for those concerned, I’m alright now. I’m still not certain how it’s going to work out but I’m assured because everything’s in God’s hands = )

And so, it’s back to square-one. It really made me wonder which voice was I really listening to. God’s or my own ego and desires. Surely, God knows the desires of our hearts but nevertheless, if it’s not in His will, it shall by no means come to pass. Fast and pray for all you want, it still won’t materialise.

I’m not consoling myself but as much as I would like to follow His plan for my life and fulfill His call, I just find this setback is a little too difficult for me to cast aside and move on in life. I am trying and I’m sure I will succeed.

It’s back to the uncertainty in my life once again. I’m sure it’ll turn out right. I thank God in advance for what He’s about to do in my life and surely, I will fulfill what He’s ordained for me.

Noosa, Sunshine Coast in 6 hours time! I wish that the weather would be kind to us once more…Stay tuned on Facebook for photos.

It’s week 11 of the academic term in QUT. The end of my exchange is drawing near and no, I’m not getting into the sad goodbyes and topics related to leaving Brisbane. I’m going to talk about the assignments and upcoming examinations.

God has been faithful. I was able to adapt fast into this foreign land without feeling homesick that much. Yes, I do miss my parents, church, friends and food back in Singapore but then again, I guess the enjoyment that I’m having our here was sufficient to put away thoughts associated with homesickness. I was also able to enjoy myself even with the 5-day study week, essays, tests, quizzes and study time.

And yes, when the end is drawing near, it means that essays are going to be due and examinations are coming right up. 2 essays and 2 examinations! 1 essay is pretty much done and the other is currently a work-in-progress but assuredly, in good progress. As for the examinations, I have to admit that I haven’t been faithful in revising the content being covered in lectures. I will find some time to go through the 2 boring Mathematics units. I will conquer this boredom! Ironic eh?

And after submission week, it’s time for me to pack up my bags and fly to Cairns before coming back on full gear for my examinations!

I’m having some mixed feelings about the fact that KTB204 Understanding Performance has come to an end after 10 weeks of research and exploration in this field of contemporary performance which I’ve developed a profound interest after applied theatre. Dr. Sandra Gattenhof was definitely an awesome lecturer and researcher but I think this interest was probably caused by the way she delivered the lectures and also the content itself.

Like they say, good things never last but I guess there’ll be further opportunities for me to extend my knowledge on this field even though it’s been giving me the most headaches out of the 4 units that I’m taking. Anyway, this unit won’t end until I submit my case study which would be due on 02 June. Recently just got back my KTB204 performance analysis…not too bad, got a ‘Credit’ for it even though I wasn’t entirely too optimistic about it. Thank God for the decent grade!

As for the other units, I’ve been doing pretty well. I must admit that Maths in QUT is a breeze! Anyway, there’s still one major desire that still hasn’t come to pass as everything seems to have come to a standstill at this juncture. But, I’m still trusting God for it and I claim this in Jesus name.

That’s about it for now. See ya later! And do check my Facebook profile for more photos = )
